USA, 1977 (Arthur J. Bressan Jr.; 1h 18m)

Shot on one day by 25 different cameramen across the USA under the co-ordination of Arthur J. Bressan Jr. this film documents Gay Pride parades across the United States in the late 70s.

The film reminds us of how far we’ve come in some ways. One of the thorny issues of the ’70s was the feminist rejection of drag queens as promoting misogynist imagery, a feeling expressed by several of the women in Gay U.S.A.
